Bed and Breakfast Accommodation in the Suffolk Countryside

Farmland still surrounds this 17th century traditional Suffolk farmhouse but Katherine and Gerry do not work the land and the only animals about are the domestic variety, a few chickens, carp in the pond and Oscar the cat. Katherine used to be a florist and still makes fresh flower displays for the house. Examples of her other skills and watercolour paintings are also dotted around.

Cosy sofas surround the big brick inglenook in the sitting room where Katherine offers tea and cake on arrival. Breakfast is served in the sunny morning room and a full english breakfast comes highly recommended. We can cater for any special dietary requirement that you may have. We use locally grown produce wherever possible and our free range hens happily provide breakfast eggs. There is a fridge
in the morning room for guests use.

Upstairs, the handsomely furnished bedrooms are all immaculate, and overlook the garden and countryside. They are tastefully decorated and have period furniture in keeping with the farmhouse. All rooms have digital T.V. with DVD, clock radios, tea & coffee facilities, fluffy towels, robes and a selection of toiletries. We also have wireless internet connection.

The two acre garden which guests are most welcome to use has an ancient bay tree and a weeping willow by the pond. Take a walk
up the lane and experience the lovely sunsets.

For evening meals we recommend The Crown in Great Glemham or The Queens Head in Dennington. Framlingham church is worth visiting and also the historic 12th century castle from which Mary Tudor set out to claim the throne.

Situated 1.5 miles east of Framlingham, we are ideally situated for exploring the delights of Suffolk, the coast is just 15 miles away.

A warm, friendly atmosphere and a pleasant stay is assured. We are a non smoking establishment, if guests wish to smoke they can do so in the garden.
